How to Submit Advertising Material to SeaFood Business

SeaFood Business is produced using a totally digital workflow. Printing plates are made directly from digital files for optimum reproduction quality without the use of film. Digital files are accepted via email or FTP, on Zip disk, or CD-Rom.

Submitting Files Through Electronic Media Transfer

File Transfer Protocol - digital files larger than 2MB may be submitted using FTP.

1. Go to: http://divcom.leapfile.com
2. Click on “upload files”
3. Type in Ad Coordinator’s email address in the address field (Receiver email): wjalbert@divcom.com
4. Fill in your name, email and a description of what you are sending (i.e. “SeaFood Business, March 2010 ad.” Fill out all the fields marked with an asterisk.)
5. Click the “Notify me” box (you will get a confirmation once the file has been retrieved)
6. Click "Use basic upload"
7. Click “Browse…” on file #1 and select the files you would like to send
8. Repeat for all files you want to send
9. Click “Send” when all files are selected

Ads requiring production work must be received a minimum of 7 days in advance of Ad Space Closing Date.

Material Requirements and Specs

Ads should be submitted as a high resolution PDF, with all artwork and fonts embedded. We also accept supporting files for graphics, logos and art in the following applications:

1. Adobe Indesign (packaged with all fonts and supporting artwork)
2. Adobe Illustrator, eps/ai (All fonts should be converted to outlines, all logos/artwork should be embedded).
3. Adobe Photoshop eps/tiff/psd (with all fonts and supporting artwork)

Note: All graphics must be 300 dpi or higher for optimum output. Color Proofs can be provided upon request for a $75 charge.

Production Charges

Production charges will be incurred for file preparation or other services required by the Publisher to make the ad plate-ready. If supplied material does not meet size specifications, charges may be incurred for resizing the ad.

If proofs are requested, copy and art must be submitted a minimum of 7 days prior to the ad close deadline. Proofs are provided on request only for ads requiring production work.
